Here’s the latest I can see right now and what it means for 11 m:
-
Sunspot number (SSN): about 85
-
Planetary K index (Kp): about 3.7 (call it K = 3–4)
-
Planetary A index (Ap): about 26
What that implies for 11 m (27 MHz)
-
SSN ≈ 85: F-layer DX is very possible, especially along daylight paths. 11 m can open for solid skip, but it’s not at “blowtorch all day” levels; openings may be more directional and time‑dependent.
-
K = 3–4, Ap ≈ 26: That’s unsettled to mildly disturbed geomagnetic conditions. You can still get DX, but:
-
High‑latitude paths can be more fragile or noisy.
-
Signals may be more fluttery and less stable, especially over polar-ish routes.
